- LazyWeb: Need a Todo app w/ following features:
1) Multi-desktop sync
2) Has an iPad app w/ sync
3) Has an iOS 4 app w/ syncin that order #
- @eridius You used it? Is it worth $200 ($119 desktop + $40 iPad + $20 iPhone). Big chunk to swallow for task management.
in reply to eridius # - @eridius Want to sell your copy of desktop?
in reply to eridius # - @janeylicious That's the problem, "if". I've blown ~$100 on Todo apps already and not found one which meets my (rather basic I'd say) needs. in reply to janeylicious #
- @janeylicious Things "almost" does what I need. It's abysmal syncing is what kills it. You'd think sync was hard or something (it's not!). in reply to janeylicious #
- @rckenned RtM just doesn't really work for me.
in reply to rckenned # - I wrote a blog post on todo apps in Jan 2008: http://bit.ly/aj3TbV — I'm sad to report it seems there aren't much better candidates today. #
- The thing is I don't really want a "hosted cloud" sync (EasyTask already has that). I've got MobileMe, Dropbox, and SugarSync. Pick any one. #
- @mdhughes 1Password seems to work near flawlessly for me using Dropbox for syncing between PCs, so why can't Things do something like that? in reply to mdhughes #
- @mdhughes They mention this on the status page "Server component in private beta." … Leads me to believe they are going the EasyTask route in reply to mdhughes #
- @SteveStreza Why couldn't an iOS app sync with Dropbox? — "The Dropbox API utilizes a REST-style architecture over the HTTP protocol" in reply to SteveStreza #
- The fact I've had 15+ replies from 7 diff people late on a Friday night shows that task management is a hot but sorely underserved market. #
- @janeylicious If Things offered a reasonable sync (ideally Dropbox or SugarSync) between multiple machines and iOS devices, it'd be my pick. in reply to janeylicious #
- @janeylicious But two and a half years ago I had essentially the same comments about it. If a developer can't solve that in that time, FAIL! in reply to janeylicious #
- Just saw a queen mattress, box springs, frame, and headboard strapped to the top of an early 90's Corolla getting on 101. Hope it ends well! #
- @SaraMG WTF! Saw you in the hallway just this week and you didn't even mention it?
