Twitter Updates for 2007-12-29

  • Got my NAPP membership packet today… Thankfully… needed the receipt which apparently they only mail, not email.
  • OH i’ll even wear a stuffed bra w/ lipstick (in reference to me saying a friend will be a booth babe at MacWorld)
  • @evilcindy I am going to have to call bullshit until I see proof. you can put away more alcohol than many men I know.
  • Heading home early tonight from the office so I can do some laundry and catch up on some reading.
  • Yes 10:30pm is early for both this week (no reason to be in early) and/or most Friday nights in general.
  • Trying my hand at making boba tea w/ pearls (tapioca balls). Could be interesting.
  • I thought it was hard to cook pearls! These taste fine and it was my first try!!
  • Now if only I had milk for the tea it would be just like store bought jasmine boba!
  • Finding humor in the fact that Apple doesn’t lock their OS installer, but yet they put a 60 character license key on Apple Remote Desktop
  • Worried that anti-Apple backlash (though warranted probably) will ultimately put the company back into obscurity like in the 90’s.
  • "It’s not Apple" —
  • Maybe I am looking at it wrong, but the Kindle looks like the best scam of the year… $400 + near normal price for the books? WTF?
  • Amazon saves on shipping, publisher saves on paper / printing / distribution… Seems like everyone wins but the consumer who overpays.
  • Don’t get me wrong, I love the "concept", just of all things Amazon has done this one seems the least favorable to the consumer (price wise)

  1. Mike says:

What are your typical work hours?

  2. Jeremy says:

Roughly 9:30am to around somewhere between 8pm and 10pm typically. Friday nights I usually capitalize on the empty office (aka no distractions) and the lack of needing to be in in the morning and stay until 3-4am. Sadly (because I am salary position, not because I don’t enjoy what I do) I work roughly 70 hours per week on average when you factor in both work from home (on weekends) and from the office.

Man, not fun. I work about 60, and I thought I was a workaholic, but you have me beat!

How do you manage a home/work balance? Or do you just love Yahoo! that much?

  4. Jeremy says:

Easily… There isn’t much of a home life currently, so it’s not very hard to balance. On the flip side, yeah, I do love Yahoo! that much (the ideals of the company and what we can accomplish specifically, not necessarily every decision we make).
