Hey guys!

Yeah, I did finally find the cause. The issue was the rear brakes. They apparently wore out much much faster than the front ones and the metallic noise was the safety stop on it alerting me.

Hope this helps!

i had that same problem with my 2006 honda accord v6/lx. i brought it into honda about five times now and they have yet to isolate the problem. they so far say it is in the engine. they have replace the timing belt and the water pump and belt, but i agree that it sound like a vacuum leak....i don't know what to do, but i am going to give honda another attempt at it and if the results are satisfying i will get back to you

I just bought a 2004 accord and I have the same symptoms that you described above. Did you figure out the source of the noise. I don't think it the airbag because I'm pretty sure I don't have that option, and I hear the same noise.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? This sounds EXACTLY like what has started happening to my 2002 Accord. Thanks
